Jena Worthington |
Jena first came to KESM as an Account Executive back in the 90's. She left to pursue a management career and returned 10 years later as Station Manager. Jena handles the day to day operations of KESM. She also handles most of the advertiser accounts. If you stop by the KESM studios, you can catch her making logs for the DJs, updating the music play lists, previewing new music and trying to fool Don into thinking she's working. Every once in a while she covers an air shift. And if we force her to, she does color for ballgames. On Friday nights during football season, you can usually find her dancing in the press box, or cheering in the stands at the away games. Go Bulldogs! In her free time, Jena enjoys spending time with her 4 children. Her daughter is a graduate student at MSU in Springfield. She is studying to be a Doctor of Audiology. Her oldest son is an explosives engineering student at UMR in Rolla. Her middle son is in the 8th grade at the El Dorado Springs R2 School, and the baby is 4. (Pictured above at the 2007 KC RenFest.) If you were to pick up Jena's iPod, you would find the entire Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley, Chris Cagle and Craig Morgan catalogues. And once you got past those, you would find lots of Richard Marx, Journey, Foreigner and Hall & Oates. When it comes to new country music, Jena has some strong opinions. Just ask her. Her newest craze is for Whiskey Falls and Carolina Rain. But watch out for James Otto and local favorite, Kurt South. |
